Through the heart of Lisbon
This walkingtour starts at Praça do Comércio right in front of the river. Space of the majestic square, being radically altered over the centuries. Its current profile results from the reconstruction carried out after the 1755 earthquake.
In one of the corners of the square, we will pass by the oldest café in the city – “Martinho da Arcada”, a space for gatherings associated with various intellectuals, in particular the poet Fernando Pessoa. We leave the river behind, walking along the elegant and dynamic Augusta street.
Ahead we arrive at the space of the former hospital of all saints, now Praça da Figueira. A little further on, we will visit the discreet church of S. Domingos, built in the 13th century, its rich history was dramatically engulfed by fire.
Our walking tour will end in Rossio, the epicenter of the city with its elegant fountains and strong commercial dynamics.
