Inizieremo il nostro tour a Casa dos Bicos, questa ex-residenza privata è ora la sede della Fondazione Saramago. Lasciamo il fiume alle spalle e ci dirigiamo verso la chiesa di S. António, uno spazio che mantiene vivo il culto e la tradizione popolare legati al santo morto a Padova.

A pochi passi troviamo la compatta della cattedrale di Lisbona. Antico luogo di culto per romani, arabi e cristiani.

Iniziando a salire, raggiungiamo il belvedere di Portas do Sol che si affaccia sulle case colorate e sull’enorme specchio d’acqua del fiume tago.

Inizieremo a percorrere strade e vicoli, respirando l’atmosfera del quartiere e della sua gente. Concluderemo il nostro viaggio lungo il fiume.

Vicino alla vecchia stazione di pompaggio dell’acqua, che ospita il museo del Fado, che conserva e diffonde una vasta collezione di questo stile musicale, classificato dall’UNESCO.

In one of the corners of the square, we will pass by the oldest café in the city – “Martinho da Arcada”, a space for gatherings associated with various intellectuals, in particular the poet Fernando Pessoa. We leave the river behind, walking along the elegant and dynamic Augusta street.

Ahead we arrive at the space of the former hospital of all saints, now Praça da Figueira. A little further on, we will visit the discreet church of S. Domingos, built in the 13th century, its rich history was dramatically engulfed by fire.

Our walking tour will end in Rossio, the epicenter of the city with its elegant fountains and strong commercial dynamics.
