I’m a Qualified and Certified Tourist Guide since 1993. I’m always on a permanent update of guiding skills and knowledge by attending several conferences and lectures about History, Art, Literature, Urban History and History of Religions. I’m conducting general, thematic and literary tours in Lisbon. Also, as a National Guide I’ve been working with several travel agencies and tour operators on trips all over the country, guiding in monuments, museums and local cities and towns of historical importance. Right now I’m part of two leading projects in promoting Portuguese literary tours in Lisbon for students and public in general (i.e. about the poet Fernando Pessoa or the novels of Nobel prize in literature 1998 José Saramago). I’m also guiding in the Oriente Museum in Lisbon (Portuguese presence in Asia). Meanwhile I have successfully finished a degree in History of Art. Main interests: European and Oriental Art, the art of the Azulejo, Portuguese classical poets and writers, world historic happenings related to Portugal.
